A recent survey from the food and beverage website TripAdvisor found that more than 50% of the respondents to the survey said they’d rather eat at a restaurant that’s located within walking distance of their home than in the suburbs.
Of course, many restaurants in the U.S. and other countries have similar locations and services to Wawa.
However, some restaurants have unique features, such as a large outdoor seating area, a private dining room, and, most importantly, a bar serving alcohol in a traditional American setting.

For example, in the city of Rochester, about 50% to 60% of people who said they prefer a place to eat out said it’s within walking proximity of their house, while another 25% said it was within two to three miles, according to TripAdvisors.
If you are traveling with kids or those with special dietary restrictions, consider visiting local restaurants that specialize in vegetarian, gluten-free, or other vegetarian options.
