United defeated Philadelphia United 4-2 on Sunday, extending their unbeaten streak to six matches.
The home side held the home side to just one shot on target and took their unbeaten run to 11 games.
The win was also United’s fourth in a row against Philadelphia.
D.C.’s 2-1 win in Philly came in the final minute of stoppage time as midfielder Dwayne De Rosario made a wonderful save to keep the game scoreless.
De Rosary, who had a goal and two assists in Philadelphia’s 2-2 draw with New York City FC on Wednesday, has four goals in his last five MLS appearances.
The Colombian midfielder’s tally in the game comes after he scored a brace in his return from suspension on March 1.
He’s scored in each of his last four matches for the Red Bulls.
Philadelphia is without captain Bobby Boswell (hamstring) and defender Steve Birnbaum (groin).
The Red Bulls are 1-1-1 in their last three meetings with D.D. United.
The Red Bull Arena crowd is projected to be the largest of any stadium in the league, with fans in attendance averaging more than 22,000 for each home game.
The Red Bulls return to action on Saturday with a match against D.P. Landon Donovan’s New York Red Bulls at 6:30 p.m.
ET on ESPN2.
