City of Houston, restaurants shut down after outbreak of food poisoning

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) — The number of reported food poisoning cases is up by more than 50 percent from Thursday to Friday.
On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 10 cases in Texas and three in California.
The first two were reported in the Dallas area.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission said Friday that the Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed four new cases of foodborne illness in the state.
Two of those cases have been confirmed in Houston.
The CDC said the cases were in Houston and the city of Houston has been designated a city for the day because of the outbreak.
